Move and rotate items

Place and rotate furniture with the mouse, the context menu, or the arrow control in the properties panel.

  1. Move by dragging

Left-click the item and drag. It slides on the plane it is anchored to (floor, wall or another item’s face) and respects collision with its neighbours. Hold Ctrl while dragging to pass through obstacles.

  2. Rotate with SHIFT

Hold SHIFT and drag over the item: it rotates around its own center following the mouse. With the lock ("Guided Angles") on, rotation snaps every 45°; hold Ctrl as well to rotate freely, degree by degree.

  3. Rotate by exact steps

Right-click the item and pick "Rotate". The submenu applies exactly 5°, 10°, 45°, 90°, 180° or 270°. On phone/tablet the same submenu opens with a long press on the item.

  4. Move from the panel

The "Positioning" group has a 6-arrow control (X red, Y green, Z blue) with the step in the middle — 100 mm per click. The switch right below picks whether the arrows follow world axes or the item’s own axes (it matters once the piece is rotated).

  5. Rotate from the panel

In the "Rotation" group the same control turns 90° per click (the step is editable). The "Keep base on floor when rotating" switch, right below the arrows, lifts the piece while tilting so its lowest corner never goes through the floor.
