Connect an AI assistant (MCP)
How to wire Claude (desktop, web or terminal) into your MetriPlan via Model Context Protocol so you can list plans, query the catalog and more — straight from chat.
Pick how to connect
Three paths: Claude.ai (web), Claude Desktop (app), or Claude Code (CLI). All of them point at mcp.metriplan.com.
Trigger an action
Ask something in chat ("list my floor plans on MetriPlan"). On first use the MCP server returns a short code like ABCD-1234.
Authorize in Settings
Open the link the chat surfaces — it lands on /settings/mcp/authorize, shows the requested scopes, and you click "Authorize".
Done
The assistant receives an access token and any MCP tool starts working until you revoke the device in Settings → AI Assistants.
